Election Equipment Use for Schools and Outreach

Please read carefully:

School and Outreach Elections must meet our guidelines, and the requesting group must accept the financial responsibility of the voting equipment as articulated in the Leon County Supervisor of Elections (LCSOE) Equipment Lending Agreement. We provide these services when possible such that our primary responsibility of conducting local, state, and federal elections is not compromised. All School and Outreach Elections must meet the following guidelines:

  • Candidate names and races must be submitted in writing 10 days before the election date.Failure to meet this timeline will result in the election date having to be moved from the originally scheduled date, or canceled.
  • All equipment must be returned the day of the Election by 5pm or no later than noon the following day.
  • LCSOE Equipment Lending Agreement form must be signed prior to delivery of equipment.
  • School Elections: Each school is permitted one election per school year free of charge. If an additional election is requested within the school year, a signed and accepted quote must be received by LCSOE before any Election programming will begin. In the event an Election is canceled after work has commenced, an invoice will be issued to the organization based on the amount of work completed. (This applies to the additional school election).
  • Outreach Elections: Prior to performing any programming or ballot layout for an election, a signed and accepted quote must be received by LCSOE. In the event an Election is cancelled after work has commenced, an invoice will be issued to the organization based on the amount of work completed.
